I dedicate this house to the Griswold Family Christmas

The holidays are here and the title of this post makes me think of one of the best (in my book) holiday movies ever made, Christmas Vacation! A family tradition of Jess’s Mom and Dad has for Christmas Eve is to watch this movie and this year I don’t know if I can wait until Dec 24th! Jess always laughs at me and tells me I am such a kid at heart! She’s right! ;) If you have never seen this movie you have got to get this movie. It is more than worth it to purchase! You will be laughing for hours. Jess, her sister Lindsay and I can sit and laugh about lines in the movie months after watching.

Ok, enough about the movie. In Warrenton we have a Christmas / Holiday parade every year the first weekend of December. This past weekend Jess and I were able to make it up to Main St. To take in the sights! Seeing all the kids in the parade waving and having the best time was so great! I can remember as a young kid being so excited to go to the local parade to see Santa and the performances. Here are some of our favorites from the morning.

What a Weekend!

So Jess and I got married last May 10, 2008. She had her sister come to my room where I got ready to deliver my wedding gift to me. In the gift box she said I would have to wait but it would be worth it and she could not have been more right! I have been a big USC football fan for as long as I can remember. Growing up in CA I can hang my head in shame when I say I never made it to the Coliseum to see a game. You can imagine how excited I was when i saw tickets to the USC vs Cal game for November 8th!

We flew out early Friday morning and as luck would have it we forgot the single most important thing for the whole entire weekend, the game tickets! DOH! Well Jess’s mom came to the rescue and was able to send them out to us overnight and we had them at the hotel the very next morning and were off to meet my good friend Derek and some friends for some tail gating. What an experience of flying all the way to CA without the tickets and not knowing if they are even going to make it in time for us to go to the game!

Friday before the game Jess and I spent some time relaxing and walking around Venice Beach. There is actually a section for artists to show off their graffiti work and it is legal! Check out their information here. After we had our fill it was back to the hotel to get some sleep before the big game!

Before I get to the pictures I have to thank my beautiful wife for an amazing weekend and a truly perfect wedding gift. I couldn’t have thought of a better gift! Thank you!

Day After Anyone?

So if you have ever read or heard about a “Day after session” you know how much fun they can be and what type of shots they can yield. If you are unfamiliar with a day after session they are an hour, a few hours, or even a whole day of you Jess and I getting some awesome shots in some unique environments!

Jess and I met with Jeanie and Mike to get some great shots and I am so glad we met when we did since the weather has gotten more and more like winter in the last couple weeks! Jeanie and Mike looked as awesome as ever and were great sports about getting all dressed up in their wedding gear again.

I have to give a huge shout out to Holly of Holly Heider Chapple Flowers. Holly rocked the flowers for this session as you can see from the shots. We have had the pleasure of seeing many of Holly’s flowers and her work. She is nothing short of amazing! If you’re looking for a florist for your day go check out Holly’s work!
