Man O man am I behind on my blogging! Soooo Amanda and Jeff are getting married this coming September. Jess and I will be attending their wedding as guests so we won’t be shooting (bitter sweet right?!). When we did this e session it was when we were having all those thunderstorms. I think it was something like 20 out of 24 days with rain…we chose one of the days without rain! Ok so we got lucky but who’s counting?! w00t w00t!

They arrived for the session and right away tell me how they don’t know how they will do with the session since they had never done this sort of thing! Well Amanda, I think we got some pretty kick _ _ _ shots! Congrats on the engagement guys and we can’t wait to see you two tie the knot this fall! Lets cross our fingers for some great weather on the big day!










Sooooo….as I was preparing for a wedding this past Saturday Jess tells me not to be alarmed but she was starting contractions! Naturally a guy who is about to be a first time father and knows next to nothing about child birth is freaking out inside. Outside I am playing it cool with Jess and talking with her about what our gameplan was going to be! Any women reading this know that the whole labor process can be a very long and arduous process! Long story short…I made it to the hospital at 11pm that night and we waited
A L L N I G H T L O O O N G…good things come to those who wait right?! Well that saying couldn’t be more true in this case.

Being a wedding photographer I am fortunate to cover events for people that are right up there with the most important day of their lives. I can honestly tell you watching my first born son being born was far and above the coolest thing I have ever seen and is right up there with marrying my wonderful wife Jess. Being able to capture these memories was priceless for me and my wife Jess. For all you grooms out there just wait ’til your future wives give birth to your children…you’ll know what I’ talking about when that moment comes. That’s the best part about doing what I do. Everyday I get to see people at the happiest moment to that point in their lives! How awesome is that!?

Ok, enough of the talk…here are a few of my favorites from the last 72 hrs and let me tell you…this was tough to widdle down to what I posted!



















Alyssa and David tied the knot at the Abraham S. Kay Spiritual Center on the campus of American University in Washington DC. If you’re looking at this post and thinking to yourself “Wait, their engagement pictures were posted just before this” then you’d be right! We just had time with the hectic planning schedule to squeeze in the engagement session before their wedding. Everything came together flawlessly on Alyssa and David’s day due to the work of several people. The flowers were done by Spot Floral out of Silver Spring. They did an exceptional job if you ask me but I’ll let you be the judge! Patti Weiner of Plan It Parties and her team did a wonderful job as well. It was great to work with all of the talented people who helped put the day together!

This couple was a joy to work with and we will all be so excited to see their family grow! Congratulations guys and happy honeymooning!
